The AMEF Conference will be held at the University of Macedonia, which is located in Thessaloniki, Greece.

Transportation
From / to Thessaloniki Airport by Bus
Thessaloniki International Airport “Makedonia” is connected with Thessaloniki city centre by public bus services. The 1X service operates between the airport, the city centre, the New Railway Station and KTEL Macedonia Bus Terminal, while the 1N provides the corresponding night service.
Passengers who wish to combine the bus with the Thessaloniki Metro may also use the 2X service to Nea Elvetia Metro Station or the 3X service to Mikra Metro Station. The airport bus terminal is located in the Arrivals area, in front of Exit 4 of Terminal 1.
The current fare for the special airport bus services is €2.00. Tickets can be purchased at the airport ticket booth or from the available ticket machines.

From / to Thessaloniki Airport by Taxi
Taxi service is available at Thessaloniki Airport and provides a convenient direct option for travelling between the airport and Thessaloniki city centre, the University of Macedonia, or your accommodation.
The official airport taxi rank is located in the Arrivals area between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, between Exits 3 and 4. Journey times depend on traffic conditions.

Getting Around Thessaloniki by Metro
The Thessaloniki Metro provides a convenient way to travel within the city. Panepistimio Station provides convenient access to the university area and can be used by participants travelling between the University of Macedonia and central Thessaloniki.
The Metro does not provide a direct rail connection from inside Thessaloniki Airport. Passengers wishing to use the Metro after arriving at the airport may connect by bus, including the 2X service to Nea Elvetia or the 3X service to Mikra.
The standard Metro ticket currently costs €0.60. Current operating hours are approximately 05:15–00:30 from Sunday to Thursday and 05:15–02:00 on Fridays and Saturdays.
