The Department of Economics of the University of Macedonia organizes the 8th International Conference on Applied Theory, Macro and Empirical Finance (AMEF), which will be held at the Department of Economics, University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki, Greece. The aim is to bring together researchers, young scholars, post-doctoral researchers and PhD students that are working in the areas of Economics and Finance. The registration fee is 195 Euros and includes coffee breaks, two lunches and meeting material. Participants can consider the following Special Issues for their papers: (1) Journal of Economics and Finance, and (2) Journal of Economic Asymmetries.

The call for Special Issues for the AMEF 2024 will be available after its completion.


Following the completion of the AMEF 2024 conference, we would like to ask all participants to consider the following options for their papers:


Submission


If you are interested in participating in the AMEF 2024 conference, please complete the online submission form, no later than March 03, 2024.

Submission Form
In case you encounter any difficulties using the submission form, you may submit an extended abstract (300-500 words) in English, in PDF format, by sending an email to amef@uom.edu.gr. All abstracts should include the title, keywords, JEL classification codes, authors’ names, affiliation and an email address. All conference papers/abstarcts go through a peer review process by the Scientific Committee. Should you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

The AMEF conference will be held on-site. Online presentations will also be considered subject to availability (limited slots available).

    All payments must be made by a bank account deposit by March 17, 2024. Please mention "AMEF and your name" when making the deposit. The transfer payment details will be sent to you via email, upon paper acceptance. In case you will not receive an email or encounter any difficulties, please contact us. Please, note that the registration fee for presenters is 195 Euros. The fee includes coffee breaks, two lunches and meeting material. A reduced fee is available for those that would like to attend without presenting a paper. Please contact us at amef@uom.edu.gr.
